How to Prepare Your Materials for a New Website
You do not need perfect materials before starting, but gathering the right pieces makes the website stronger faster.
Start with what already exists.
Your website can usually be built from materials you already have: resume, bio, service notes, testimonials, photos, certifications, or old website copy.
Gather the practical pieces.
The goal is to make your experience, services, and next step easier to shape.

- Short list of services or roles
- Service area and availability notes
- Testimonials or proof points
- Photos, credentials, and preferred contact path
Messy is workable
The materials do not have to be polished. They just need to be available enough to organize.
Do not over-prepare.
If you wait until every sentence is perfect, the site may never start. Bring the raw material and let the website structure do part of the work.
